The Inaugural Prompt-a-palooza

prompt-a-palooza

We ran a Prompt-a-Palooza Challenge on LinkedIn this week, where we asked for prompts to help nonprofit fundraisers. The response was terrific, and we were blown away by the creativity and enthusiasm of our community. The prompt ideas that ranged from super helpful to just plain funny.  Here they are:

Theme One: Find the Right Donors

Some of the most popular prompts focused on finding the right donors for a particular cause. For example, one prompt from Melissa Freeman suggested that boodleGPT should generate a list of celebrities (or companies) who are outspoken on social media about animal causes. Another prompt from Kevin Kreamer suggested asking for the number of people in South Carolina who are most likely to support “insert mission name here” and have them broken out by zip code. He even specified in his prompt that the word ‘support’ could equate to give, attend, volunteer, etc.

Theme Two: How to Engage Donors

Other prompts focused on creative ways to engage donors. For example, one prompt suggested by Dannielle Pope asked: who has not engaged with us in the last 30 days (on any channel) and what would be the most successful way to reengage with them? Where another prompt suggestion by Jamie Mueller asked: what are we doing well at engaging our donors, and what suggestions do you have for us so we can do better? We loved how both of these prompts asked boodleGPT to give feedback based on its knowledge and to offer a solution to their needs.

Theme Three: Generate a Fundraising Strategy

There was also one fan favorite around here, so I would be remiss not to mention them. It was built around the idea of creating a fundraising strategy and even executing on those tactics. Elizabeth Watson not only suggested her prompt, but also outlined how she would use boodleGPT. She said that she would love to feed in donor data when gifts were received including the amount of the gift and ask boodleGPT to give her a comms plan, template language, and suggested ask amounts per person based on their personal giving history! Now wouldn’t that be an amazing use of boodleGPT!

Theme Four: Avian Incidents Around boodleAI’s Co-CEO

Of course, not all prompts were focused solely on fundraising. Some were just plain humorous, such as the prompt from T. Clay Buck that asked boodleGPT “Why do birds suddenly appear whenever Shawn Olds is near?” While we may not have taken that prompt seriously, it certainly is a question worth asking and provided us with a good laugh.

Our first prompt-a-palooza was a huge success. We received tons of amazing ideas that will help us create a boodleGPT that will make nonprofits’ dreams come true. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated, and we can’t wait to keep the good times rolling.
